Nursery Tour using gold as an accent colour.

Over the past 12 months, I have slowly added to my collection of decor items that have been driving my latest colour crush – GOLD!

This beautiful metallic tone adds a touch of class to all interior spaces. It is so versatile that it can be used for children, teens AND adults, making it any easy colour choice to create a cohesive look in a home.

By buying items on sale, using existing home-wares and scouring through low-cost department stores (note the $10 Kmart gold spot planter, $1.50  clearance macrame hanger and $6 IKEA wall bracket) I have been able to gather enough decor pieces to transition gold as the more prominent accent colour in Indi’s nursery (a space she shares with her big sister Oceanna).

Mrs Mighetto Print purchased from Norsu Interiors

These cheaper purchases enabled me to splurge on what may very well be my FAVOURITE MRS MIGHETTO art print EVER – ‘Les Petit, Miss Lola’!

The muted mustard tones in this stunning watercolour print work so well with the gold accents, while the neutral grey tones of Miss Lola herself would complement any interior beautifully.

Kaylula Sova Cot by BABYHOOD AUSTRALIA

Indi has loved hanging out in her new space and I can’t wait to share Ocea’s side once complete.

As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope your week is filled with happy!

Love ness and the monkeys X

NOTE: Please note that the planter DOES NOT hang over the cot. For safety the cot is angled a safe distance away from the planter (the illusion of the photo makes it look like it is above the cot). I would not recommend hanging any item above a child’s cot.
