With the onset of cold wintery nights in the monkey house, our baby monkey moved temporarily into Ocea’s room upstairs.
Among with that meant poor Ocea got booted out and had spent the past month shuffled from here to there.
So we finally set up camp for her downstairs in what was Indi’s room. Now I love my decor, but truth is we are a family of four and we need to budget for what we buy.
So, while the money tree out the back still looks a little drought ridden I needed to get my creative on and do a little revamp on a budget.
I’m currently loving the trend of house shaped bed heads so tried to re-create a similar look using basic washi tape as it is easily moved and doesn’t mark.
All I needed was a steady hand, a pair of scissors and the bedhead was good to go. I removed the decals that were inside the house as it gave the shape more of its own presence.
You can use any colour you like and create any shape, skillion roof, castle, let your imagination run wild.
To keep with the budget makeover I used my favourite watermelon purse as a place to store her little trinkets and placed this on one of our kitchen stools.
I would ,love to hear of any of your budget saving ideas when revamping kids rooms.
Hope your days are filled with happy,
Love Ness, in the monkey house xox

Love this idea! Washi tape also comes in handy when it comes to putting prints up on the walls, looks on trend and is a lot cheaper than even the cheapest Ikea frames!
